EMPOWERING LOCAL COMMUNITIES
The Ocean Bottle funds an ecosystem of plastic collectors, paying them 3x the rate they could previously earn for collected plastic through an IBM Blockchain backed system.
27 per cent of sales from every PADI X Ocean Bottle go to The Plastic Bank. Together we put a value on plastic waste and at the same time support local jobs – by enabling collectors to exchange plastic for money, healthcare, school tuition, tech products and even access to micro-finance.
